Amazon Firestick / Fire TV

Set up streaming on Amazon Firestick and Fire TV

The Amazon Firestick is one of the easiest and most popular ways to watch. Because it runs Fire OS, you'll first install a helper app to side-load a player, then add your playlist.

Have your credentials ready before you begin: your M3U URL, or your Xtream Codes username, password, and server host. Both are in your welcome email and on your account page.

Step by step

  1. 1From the Fire TV home screen, search for and install the “Downloader” app.
  2. 2Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on “Apps from Unknown Sources”.
  3. 3Open Downloader and install a player such as TiviMate or OTT Navigator.
  4. 4Open the player and choose “Add Playlist”.
  5. 5Paste your M3U URL, or select Xtream Codes login and enter your username, password, and server host.
  6. 6Wait for the channel list and guide to load — you're ready to watch.

Live sports and more, the moment setup is done.

If you have an Ethernet adapter for your Firestick, use it — a wired connection is the best fix for buffering.
